PRITHVI - CHELTENHAM
|
WOW WOW WOW.
We booked back in January- So make sure you book in advance! 4 x Guests Table booked for 8.15 - departure 11.15 We all opted for the Tour of Prithvi. The staff were very attentive & very polite. We were seated to our table. At first it was busy but not too loud, the table next to us was really loud & we could hardly hear ourselves at some points. I couldn’t hear what the dishes were so I asked for the menu back - which was a shame but not Prithvi’s fault. The Amuse Bouche came, the goats cheese was a little basic, the middle ball was AMAZING and really set the tone of the evening, it was so flavoursome for one mouthful. The scallops were perfectly cooked. Wasn’t sure about the cold mackerel with everything else warm including the plate - but that’s a personal opinion. The salmon just fell apart & was cooked to perfection. The duck was cooked perfectly too & the teriyaki sauce was full of flavour with added zing. The lamb was beautiful - I’m not normally a lamb fan but I could’ve eaten more! The Pre- Dessert was passion fruit which was sharp. The only let down of the whole night was the ‘spiced poached pear’ The Poached pear was tasteless and wasn’t very spiced at all. This really let the dinner down, which is a great shame. Every dish had a good heat but nothing was overpowering, everything was full of flavour apart from the pear. Overall we had a fantastic experience & I would love to go again! I hope they change the tasting menu and if they do we will definitely be back. |
THE BOTTLE OF SAUCE - CHELTENHAM
We fancied a little bit of lunch before we came home.
We decided to go here. The bottle of Sauce is super funky! It’s got loads of beers to choose from & 3 different places to choose from. We opted to the garden as the sun was out, the tables are all graffitied but it looks sooo good! If we are in Cheltenham again, I would come back here! The beer was tasty, we chose the dodo lager. We ordered buffalo chips, bbq wings & garlic bread pizza. The chips were super tasty & so was the garlic bread. The wings were nice but cold, it was a little bit of a shame. I would still go back as I loved the decor and just thought it was a really nice pub. |

HEMA'S KITCHEN
Another amazing dish from Hema's Kitchen
So quick & easy and soooooo tasty!
I have to say this is better than any take away curry I’ve had.
Hema's post all over the country and fit through the letterbox so no need to worry when they are going to arrive.
