WE FINALLY GOT TO SPEND MY BIRTHDAY VOUCHER FROM THE COMMUNITY OF WFG! I was generously gifted some money to spend with fabulous businesses around Worcestershire. I decided to split the money between a few different restaurants. I Chose, Anatolian Palace, The Cotford Hotel, The Olive Branch, The Angel & Ounce.

Well I'm so glad we made it here before another bloody near enough lockdown!

We arrived and were greeted by the lovely Izabella, who showed us to our table. The restaurant was busy but Boris had just cancelled everyone's New Year plans so as I think most people went out.

We looked at the menu and ordered our drinks, we decided on a Leffe draft & a large white wine, they don't have any beer on tap.

Izabella was very attentive and nothing was too much trouble.

We decided to order the 'Mixed Cold Meze' which was Humus, Cacik (Similar to Tzatziki), Kisir (Bulgarwheat),Saksuka (Fried Aubergine), Russian Salad (Vegetables in a Mayonnaise), Babaganush (Fried Aubergine in Yogurt), Antep Ezme (Tomatoes / Onions / Gerkins)

We also ordered the 'Mixed Hot Meze' which consisted of Sigara Boregi (Filo pastry Feta & Mint), Sucuk (Turkish Sausage), Halloumi & Falafel.

We decided we only needed one main as the cold meze recommends enough for 2/3 people and the hot 2 people, so we chose the 'Lamb Iskender' Grilled minced Lamb, served with a bed of diced bread & yogurt, coated with house sauce then drizzled with butter & herbs

We started with the warm bread & garlic dip, if you like garlic then this was incredible, smooth and packed full of flavour. Everything on the cold meze was delicious, we love tapas and I love trying all different things so this was the perfect choice. The Sigara Boregi was incredible, it could have had 5  seconds in the fryer if I was being super critical, but 100% one of our favourites from the night. The falafel was also full of flavour & the halloumi was grilled perfectly. We saved the best until last, the Turkish Sausage, WOW! If anyone knows where I can buy some, please message me!

We asked for our main to come when it was ready as we decided to pick at all of it. The main was tasty, the bread that had soaked up all the juices was sensational. Even the salad was nice!

Izabella brought us some Turkish tea which was lovely & a perfect ending to the night. Normally I love milk in my tea but I felt it didn't need it.

We looked at the desserts and I really wanted to try the 'Kanafeh' which was traditional cheese dessert, I was so full we decided against it but I'm regretting it now!

We had some Baklava to share, I can feel my mouth watering as I type this.

The Baklava was crunchy & sweet, and melted in your mouth.

We had a wonderful evening, and I would recommend to everyone to go.

The whole feel of the restaurant was lovely even with COVID.

Highly recommended.
