The Paul Pry, WR1, Pub & Kitchen
| Sunday 27th September | 2pm |

We arrived at at the Paul Pry for 2pm and we signed in to the track & trace. We were greeted by smiley faces (well from what you can see with masks on)

We had a quick look at the drink selection and were taken to our table. The pub is a super quirky sort of place, it’s split in two with a bar area & a small restaurant.

The sun was shinning through the glass and the waitress asked for our drink order which we decided on two Camden Pale Ale (which is one of my favourites)
The waitress came over and asked what we would like for Sunday lunch, she said the chef Alex suggested the selection of everything and if the chef is happy to recommend something then too right we’re going to trust him! So we went for that!
The roasts that we could see on other tables looked absolutely incredible and we could hear everyone saying how amazing they are, the one couple even booked again for a couple of weeks time. We knew at this point we were in for a treat.

Well... OH MY GOSH, when it arrived on the table, I was literally dribbling, the smell coming off the plate was insane, It looked absolutely sensational.

We started with the pork belly, WOW. It was probably the best belly pork I’ve ever tasted, the meat fell apart, the crackling was delicious, and I really enjoyed the apple.
Next the chicken, it was packed full of flavour, and the crispy bacon

We then went for the lamb, this melted in your mouth & the cracking - something completely different, incredible stuff!
Last the beef, served pink, juicy, stunning. I wished I had asked for some horseradish I think it would have really complimented it.

The roasties were also stunning, so was the stuffing & the balls & the gravy toooo, I couldn’t get enough of it!

We were so so so full, but my god it was incredible, after reading all the reviews on foodies they had so much to live up to, but they absolutely nailed it.

And when we thought we couldn’t eat anymore, I remembered that Gem Km had told me that I had to try the sticky toffee pudding. Sooo obviously because gem said we had to order it.

It was amazing, moist, sticky, flavoursome and went down really well I was glad that we had tried it as we were not disappointed.

Alex & his team are I N C R E D I B L E, and they should be so so proud, they literally smashed it and they seem to every week.

I don’t know how much this would cost as I won it as part of a raffle - so thank you Claire Hateley for running it, the prize was AMAZING!!

Absolutely spot on, and we will definitely be back
